RANTHAMBORE
- Approximately 130 kms. from Jaipur, in the heart of Rajasthan, is the
best place to view a tiger. Luxurious accommodation outside the sanctuary
has come up and is perhaps the most popular wild life reserve. Can be combined
with a visit to Agra and Jaipur.
KANHA
- This 160 square kilometer of beautiful undulating forest is interspersed
with grassy patches in the central highlands. It is the finest place for
seeing Indian swamp deer, chital and various carnivores including tiger.
It can be reached from Jabalpur, Nagpur and Khajuraho. Ask for a detailed
itinerary.
CORBETT NATIONAL PARK
- About 200 square kilometers reserve on the foothills of the Himalayas.
Around 260 kms. from Delhi. A three day itinerary can be planned.
KAZIRANGA
- Famous for one horned Rhino. Accessible from Kolkotta via Guwahati in
the eastern part of India.
GIR
FORESTS
- About 800 square kilometers area of stunted forest and grassy scrub. The
last stronghold of the Indian lion. December to May are the best months.
A four day itinerary from Ahmedabad can be suggested.
GHANA BIRD SANCTUARY, BHARATPUR
- It is a sanctuary for the countless water birds that come here to breed
open-bill storks egrets, white Ibis spoon bills and a whole lot of others.
This is en route from Agra to Jaipur and can be combined with the Golden
Triangle Tour. One night stay is recommended. Ask us for a detailed itinerary.
RANGANTHITTOO BIRD SANCTUARY
- Situated near Mysore, many birds come here to breed. A good itinerary
including Bangalore and Mysore can be planned.
PERIYAR
- Situated in the Spice Country of Kerala, this sanctuary is around a lake
and is famous for wild elephants. Accessible from Madurai in the East and
Kochi in the West, it can be combined with a Temple Tour or a Backwater
Tour.
